Well, get ready! The 2012 college football season is coming up faster than a speeding pigskin down the field.
What does September 2012 hold for the Cardinal? Well, lots of home games. How do you like that?
Let's start on the first day of September with a home game against San Jose State. Okay, then a week later Duke's football tram comes to town. By then Standard is really warmed up. Good, because then USC is ready for a conference marchup.

Will the Seattle Seahawks have a winning season in 2012?
The 2012 Seattle Seahawks are not liking the computers or people who made their schedule this year.
Think it's easy to win football games in the NFL? Think again.
In mid-September, the Seahawks will host the Green Bay Packers, a team that nearly went undefeated last year. Seattle will need all of its skill to get a win versus the Pack.
Then comes October where Seattle faces the Patriots in a tough game on October 14. Then, only four days later, the meet the 49ers on October 18.
Say what? A measly three days between games? Very tough assignment for the Seahawks.
The first two months of the 2012 NFL season do not look easy for Seattle, but if they can win half of the games in those months, they might have a shot at making it to the playoffs.

Have you heard that the 49ers are building a brand new football stadium in Santa Clara? Of course you did! It's the most exciting sports development in all of California.

This time is certainly one of the best times ever to be a fan of the San Francisco 49ers football team. After the team's spectacular performance in 2011, there is a lot of momentum going into the 2012 NFL season. The Niners could get back to the playoffs this year and should be very competitive.

Lastly, in mid-December, the 49ers go and play an away game at New England. That is probably the hardest place to get a win for a visiting team.

Is a playoff system the only way to ensure a legitimate NCAA college football champion?
The Big 10 conference is hard at work trying to get everyone on board in order to start getting a college football playoff system ready by 2014.
Of course, all the other NCAA conferences have a lot of work to do as well. If we're finally ready for a real and genuine college football playoff system, the time to start planning for it is now.
The Big 10 conference is leading the way. Other conferences need to line up too so we can get this started.
When is the 2012 Cal-Stanford Big Game?
The 2012 NCAA college football season has been set. If you live in the Bay Area and you love local college football, you are probably thinking about one thing: when is the Big Game?
The Big Game is the annual game between arch rivals Stanford and Cal. Each team and its fans want bragging rights.
The 2012 Cal Bears and Stanford Cardinal college football game will be held on Saturday, October 20, at Memorial Stadium on Berkeley.

When is the first game in 2012 for the Oakland Raiders?

Raider fans are unique. There ate no other pro football fans quicker like Raider fans.

49er games in September 2012: lots of road games
Have you had a chance to check out the games the 49ers will play during their first month of the 2012 NFL season?
As you can see, the 49ers have three of their four September games on the road.
It's bad enough that they have to start their season on the road against the Green Bay Packers.
After that one, they have a tough home game against the Detroit Lions. Then it's back on the road for two straight road games against the Vikings and the Jets.
What a way to start the first month of the 2012 NFL football season? That just means that the new San Francisco 49ers had better be ready.
